Summer is right around the corner – we hope! – which means it’s time to trade in the snow shoes for flip flops and head to the pool! Or string up some party lights in the backyard and have a barbecue!
As the weather warms up, it’s time for people to come out of hibernation after the long, cold winter and get outside. Is your store near a beach or a lake? These are popular destinations once the weather warms up so make sure you’re stocked with all the essentials – sunscreen, hats, sunglasses, flip flops, beach towels, and coolers. Whatever you carry that’s summer themed, it’s time to pull those items to a very prominent location in your store so your customers know you’re their one stop shop for all their summer fun needs.
This is also the time of year that people start entertaining outdoors. If you carry melamine dinnerware, or BBQ accessories these make a great feature presentation. Add some fun colored tablecloths, placemats, or napkins to really make your display pop!
Summer is all about bright colors so make sure this also reflects in your collateral. Does your store have window displays? Make sure your signage is bright and bold. Also make sure you choose the right product to feature in your windows. Your windows should grab the attention of people walking or driving by and make them want to come right in!
